Celebrate the unique harmony between nature, community and culture at the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival 2025.

Spanning nine days, this vibrant festival invites locals and visitors alike to explore the Island’s rich biodiversity and creative spirit through a broad array of events and activities.

Festival highlights

  • Island-wide events: Engage in over 40 events, including nature walks, art workshops, storytelling sessions and more, all designed to showcase the IOW’s ecological and cultural treasures
  • Seaview Seagrass Wade and Survey: On 28 June, participate in a hands-on wading survey of the seagrass meadows at Seaview. This citizen science event, led by Project Seagrass, contributes valuable data to local conservation efforts.
  • FOCAS Festival at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary: On 28 and 29 June, enjoy educational and imaginative activities focused on conservation and science, aimed at making these topics accessible and fun for children.
  • Talks and Workshops at Quay Arts Centre: Engage in practical workshops and discussions at Newport’s Quay Arts Centre, covering topics such as green energy, nature-friendly gardening, and local storytelling.
